The Wing Chun Kung Fu master Ip Man travels to the U.S. where his student Bruce Lee has upset the local Chinese martial arts community by opening a school teaching foreigners Chinese Kung Fu, by the way he wants to find a middle school for his son to study in, which needs a referral letter from the master of the local martial arts community. Ip refuses, explaining that he merely escorted his daughter home for her safety and leaves.
